Since the age of 7 Johnny was writing songs to entertain family and friends. By the age of 8, he had his first guitar and started taking lessons at the age of 10 from John "Johnny Hatton" the famous bassist who at that time, taught 6 string guitar. After joining the military, Johnny lived in Europe and met and collaborated with Ky Wolfe, one of the songwriter's for the hit group Boney M. Johnny and Ky wrote "Blue Night In Alcatraz" which was recorded by the European group Sister Sister. Johnny is still writing songs and is still collaborating with Ky Wolfe on various projects they have created. In the past Johnny has worked for such greats as: Mickey Stevenson, Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas and The Impressions. Johnny has recently been working with John "Johnny Hatton" on his new CD "Gospel Bop".
